Day 10: Chillaxing at Kata Noi Beach

“Always be yourself. Unless you can be a unicorn. Then, always be a unicorn.”

Clara was excited to have seen a unicorn today, and I had no idea what she was talking about. Until she showed me a gigantic inflatable unicorn which she wanted to try. So that’s what inspired today’s quote. Nothing to do with travel, really, except we don’t have a big inflatable unicorn at home… thank goodness!

Anyway, we spent the day alternating between the pools and the ocean and even though it was rainy again, it was quite a fun day. The ocean is warm, the waves alternate between just big enough to hurt you if you’re body surfing, and just small enough to recover from the last one that hit. It’s perfect.

That said, we now all have sand everywhere. We thought the cottage was bad for that. But there is nothing compared to being slammed into the beach face first by a huge wave when it comes to getting sand embedded into your hair.

The food today has been incredible.

We are all looking forward to our adventure tomorrow to the elephant sanctuary/preserve.
